November 17, 2012–Advanced Bicycle Mechanics class from the City of Albuquerque’s Bicycle Safety Education Program. Registration is required. Learn about bike maintenance, brakes, derailleur adjustments and shifting systems, headsets, bottom brackets, and wheels. The cost is $20.00. The class starts at 9:00 a.m. sharp and goes to 4:00 p.m. Break for lunch at noon.
Participants should come with clothing to get greasy. It is not necessary for participants to bring their bicycles, because the program uses their bicycles for demonstrations and hands-on activities. The day will be seminar format. Some sections will be hands on while others will be demonstration only.
